As a small business, Bloom Media understands the importance of supporting small businesses and how their success boosts the local communities they serve and beyond. And with many companies still feeling the impact of the COVID-19 crisis, we encourage you to show support by shopping your small, local businesses this Small Business Saturday on November 27, 2021, and every day.
Here are some of the great Small Businesses the Bloom teams frequent and suggest:
Hibernian Pub, North Raleigh, NC
The Hibernian Pub in North Raleigh is a Friday night favorite. There is rarely a wait to be seated, the food is yummy, the staff is friendly, and the drinks just keep coming. This eclectic eatery is filled with secondhand books, antiques, and oddities on display. It offers a range of seating options from pew-style booths, comfy fireside chairs, barstools, and my favorite, semi-private spot where you enter from saloon-hinged doors and can seat my extended family when they come to town. Their menu has everything from pub burgers and wings to a range of traditional Irish dishes like bangers and mash. After a long week, it truly is our happy place where we can go with the family, listen to some classic eighties’ alt tunes, and have a predictably great kickoff to the weekend.
But maybe they put it best…
The Hibernian Restaurants & Pubs celebrate the old-world flavor and the new vibrancy of Ireland. Carrying on with Irish tradition, we offer an atmosphere that infuses the alluring and relaxing nature of an authentic Irish social club and the warmth of a Gaelic home kitchen.
Our dark wood interiors, full of cozy nooks and beautifully sculpted bars, will transport you into Ireland. We proudly cater to all walks of life here in North Carolina. On any day, you will find families, friends, sports fans, and professionals who are all visiting us to talk, debate, laugh, drink and eat. No matter the reason, when you are at Hibernian, you’ll always feel like a local in our pub. Slainte!!!

The farm is a great family-friendly place to visit every season, especially during the winter, not to miss all the festivities during their Winter Wonderland.
And located in a former potato barn, next to Waterdrinker Family Farm, you can check the Long Island Farm Brewery room and brewhouse. As fifth-generation farmers’ Barn & Raised’ in the agriculture world, their goal is to create an authentic farm brewery experience. The brewery sits on 80+ acres, which will soon include our relocated hop field. It’s a great place where family and friends can come together and enjoy the different aspects of the farm and the seasonal festivals, farm animals, incredible flower fields, and endless activities for children at Waterdrinker.
